About
An introduction to KCC Football
The Football Section is proud to offer football to people of all ages and abilities, with over two hundred juniors in its program and over one hundred senior players. KCC Football was officially established in 1994, entering a team in Hong Kong’s leading amateur competition, the Yau Yee League. In the years since, the Section has grown to include eight senior teams.
KCC HKFA
Over the course of the past five or six years, KCC Football has worked to establish itself in Hong Kong’s professional ranks. The HKFA Team now plays in the HKFA Second Division, after a number of years of increasing success in Division Three.
Yau Yee League – KCC Dragons and KCC Knights
The Dragons are the Club’s top team in the Yau Yee League, and are regularly competitive at the top of the First Division. The Knights team is an integral part of the Section’s Player Pathway system, and lately has been used to introduce our best young players to competitive adult football.
Legal League – KCC Cavaliers, KCC Royals and KCC Monarchs
On Monday evenings, KCC Football can be seen all over King’s Park, with the Cavaliers, Royals and Monarchs playing in the Legal League competition. The Cavaliers and Royals are important supporting teams to the Dragons and Knights, while the Monarchs (two teams of Over 35s and Over 45s) play in the Legends Division of the organization, ensuring that players of no age are left without opportunities at KCC.
KCC Women Seniors
The 2022-2023 season is the Women Seniors’ first in the HKFA Second Division. The Women Seniors are ably supported by the Women Under-15s, who also play in HKFA competition.
Youth Football
KCC Football has boys’ and girls’ teams playing in all HKFA age groups from U13 to U18, with training and tournaments for age groups even younger. Children can start as young as three with the KCC Minis program.
KCC Futsal
The Section has recently entered a team into the HKFA Men’s Futsal league, and is enjoying its first season in the competition.
Player Pathway
KCC Football is proud of its Player Pathway, which has successfully taken players through the ranks of the junior program into the senior teams. The Player Pathway shows young players and their parents the full potential for their growth in the Section, and we are always most pleased to see our own juniors make it to the highest level we can offer.
Training
Training times for juniors, senior men and senior women differ, but all take place at either King’s Park or on the KCC Main Ground. Each team typically trains once a week.
Social Events
KCC Football brings all Section members together throughout the season for numerous social events, beginning with the season-opening Graham Archer tournament in August and ending with the Season Awards Dinner in May. Social Football is enjoyed by all in the summer months!
Charity Work
We feel strongly about helping others, and partner with the Sprouts Foundation to sponsor football programs at two locations in Hong Kong. Charity events like our annual Santa Soccer, social competitions throughout the year and donations at different events are used to raise money to bring football to less advantaged youths in Hong Kong.
