Continuing on its path to glory
Lawn Bowls has been a core sport at Kowloon Cricket Club since the club was formed 1904.
KCC has first class bowling facilities of two six rink grass greens, widely acclaimed as being some of the finest in Asia. These rinks have excellent LED floodlighting allowing both daytime and evening, play. On match and practice day a convenient bar is located adjacent to the greens to simply relax or reflect on the past games.
The KCC bowls section currently has around 150 regular and occasional Men’s and Women players.
The KCC bowls section is a member of the Hong Kong Lawn Bowls Association (HKLBA) and enters teams in Men’s & Women’s Summer and Winter Leagues. With 13 Men’s Summer and 5 Women’s leagues, these provide competitive games for all standards.
KCC are the current 1st Division Summer League Men’s Champions and our Men’s and women’s section players have represented Hong Kong in major international and domestic tournaments.
Lawn bowls is not just for elite players but also a sport for everyone, including new and novice players regardless of age, gender, strength, or physical ability. The KCC Lawn Bowls Section regularly offers beginner & Intermediate courses, as well as regular informal social games where everyone is welcome, subject to the participants having achieved, through past experience or beginners’ course, a fundamental understanding of the techniques and etiquette of the game.
Lawn Bowls is a great way to remain competitive or simply to take gentle exercise and meet new friends so, if not already a section member, come and join us.
